This website is an initiative of Professor Peter Neijens and Professor Claes de Vreese who are both working at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) at the Communication Science Department of the University of Amsterdam.

Peter C. Neijens is Professor of Persuasive Communication in The Amsterdam School of Communication Research ASCoR at the Communication Science Department of the University of Amsterdam. He is associate editor of the Journal of Marketing Communications, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Advertising, the International Journal of Advertising, the Journal of Advertising Research and the Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising and he is also senator of the UvA. Claes H. de Vreese
is Professor and Chair of Political Communication and Program Group Director of Political Communication & Journalism in The Amsterdam School of Communication Research ASCoR at the Communication Science Department of the University of Amsterdam. He directs the UvA Research Priority Area Communication, is Adjunct Professor of Political Science and Journalism at the University of Southern Denmark and he is also the founding Director of the Center for Politics and Communication. See for more information about Claes de Vreese: http://claesdevreese.wordpress.com/

The Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) is a research institute in Communication Science, residing in the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Amsterdam. ASCoR is one of the largest research institutes in communication science worldwide. More than 55 senior researchers are ASCoR members and its English-language PhD program hosts more than 30 students. Communication Science at the UvA is currently rated 7th in the in the QS World University rankings by Subject, and the number one institute on continental Europe.
